Installation
- We install grass seed and fertilizer for new lawns, restoration of old lawns, ditching, erosion control, and shoreline restoration using the hydro-seeding process described above. Installation includes pulverizing or loosening of compacted soils, establishing correct drainage and elevations to direct water away from foundations, driveways, and patios.
- We use “Best Practices” when mixing and applying the hydro-seeding slurry. All of the ingredients that are necessary for the development of a healthy beautiful lawn are included in our mix. We are not involved in the development or maintenance of lawns.
Development
- Each customer or client is solely responsible for the development (The after-care) of the seeding we install. Development includes the correct application of:
a. Water
b. Fertilizer
c. Mowing
d. Weed control
- Our involvement in your lawn is limited to the installation.
Guarantees
- We do not guarantee outcomes but we’ve never ignored a good customer that did everything right and still needed a little help through the rough spots. Not One! We pride ourselves on customer care and easy communication.
- Your lawn can and should quickly develop into a healthy beautiful addition to your home because we’ve spared no expense in providing the finest ingredients in our seed slurry, however the difference between success and failure is oftentimes tied directly to:
a. A lack of consistent daily involvement and willingness to carefully follow our after-care instructions.
b. The uncertain impact of the weather e.g. scorching heat, excessive rainfall, drought combined with a weak or sporadic customer commitment can doom a new lawn in a matter of 1-2 days.
c. Germination (seed development) is a tedious, time consuming task that requires a constant daily commitment from you for a minimum of 30 days in order for grass seed to root.
d. Failure to fertilize every 30 days the first season will result in a weak lawn.
Please know the following based on experience. Things not to do:
- Stop or reduce watering during the first 30 days because of the high cost of water. Your municipal water bill should increase significantly in size for the first two months after a new lawn is installed.
- Hire a neighborhood kid to water while you’re gone on vacation or at work generally doesn’t work well.
- Go on vacation and making no provision for watering during your absence can send a new lawn into dormancy or die-off.
- The new lawn is no longer a high priority after 3-5 days. The sprinklers have been turned off, fishing, camping, golf, OT at work have all taken on a greater significance and the customer is waiting for the next rainfall.
- Leaving your sprinklers on for several hours while you’re gone can result in washout.
- Allowing your pets to run loose on the new seeding and urinate or defecate on it will kill the new grass.
- Don’t let your lawn dry out. Your new lawn needs to remain constantly moist in order to keep soils soft and cool so that new seed can root easily. NO WATER = NO GRASS.
- Be impatient. It takes approximately 14 months for a new lawn to mature with proper care and attention. Please be patient.
